What you should know about The Hairdressing College
The Hairdressing College has been owner operated in Palmerston North since 1953. Most current hairdressers in the Manawatu region know the business well and started their training here. We have now redirected the teaching learning practises to a more Learner focused environment. This primarily focuses on capturing the students enthusiasum, excitement and keeps them focused on attendance application to learning.
All student particiated had enormous fun excitement is preparing prastising their mannequins to compete. We have had three very successful years competing in Regional, National International Hairdressing Competitions. So we expose our students to fashion styling, hairdressing competitions, fashion photo shoots and makeup artistry. I have an excellent team of Tutors offering excellent skills and knowledge to students in Palmerston North and our Levin site.
They are all passionate people and very motivated to ensuring students get the most of their training and help nurture all students even when times get tough and it all seems too hard’. Working in our positive environment is very rewarding for students and us alike. Training Hairdressers is our Business!’ That’s what we do! Students must have successfully completed all Smooth 1, 2 50 of Slick 3 Hairdressing unit standards and or NZ Certificate in Hairdressing Salon promote Level 3 prior attempting the NZ Certificate in Hairdressing Emerging Stylist Smooth 4. Welcome all students contracted to come to our training provider for the delivery and assessment segment of your hairdressing training. All learners have travel allowance offered to them to get to course each day. We also offer a 'free on the floor cutting day' the Thursday behind your course with free haircuts to clients in the training salon.
We have a fully equipped salon that runs commercially for genuine assessment situations. With our industry based courses we will be striving to up aptitude stylists in salons that may not be subjected to specific areas of ability that other salons have, we make it our business to improve the level of hair dressers throughout our region. We pride ourselves on delivering quality hairdressing skills to our young hairdressers and want to offer ongoing training up fatal to stylists of all levels in the industry. Students nearer the end of the programmed will be offered work experience if required.
We are the only provider to present a Smooth 2 NCAA VP, Level 3 Slick 4 hairdressing programmed in the under half of the North Island. It is our objective to training students into the Hairdressing industry or move students onto another provider if hairdressing isn’t for them. Training Hairdressers is our Business!’ That’s what we do! This is an exciting programmed which includes foiling workshops, cutting workshops and designer cut color workshops to extend your creativity and magnify your knowledge on from unit standards. We pride ourselves on delivering quality hairdressing skills to our young hairdressers and want to give ongoing training up fatal to stylists of all levels in the industry.
All students with good attendance and attitude will be thriving and marketable to enter the industry at any level of exit. We also offer a 'free on the floor cutting day' the Thursday behind your course with release haircuts to clients in the training salon. We have a fully equipped salon that runs commercially for authentic assessment situations. Students nearer the end of the programmed will be offered labor experience if required.
The learner student apprentice will then need to go back to the salon and practice to earnings more experience in the services taught. Training Hairdressers is our Business!’ That’s what we do! 31 July 2017 to 06 July 2018 NZ Cert in Hairdressing Salon Promote Glossy 3 in 2017 will include late night on Thursdays with Mondays off. The student will gain 122 credits towards the NZ Certificate in Hairdressing Salon Support, within the 40 programmed. 00 note individual equipment lists may be required for each student if you come from another provider
