What you should know about Taylor-Jensen Fine Arts
The body of work in this exhibition is an accumulation of numerous months painting and is made up of a variety of landscapes painted in watercolors. This is the second year that the arts degree in Raranga weaving has been offered at the papa ea Palmerston North campus of Te W nanga o Aotearoa and the second year that Taylor Jensen Pleasing Arts has hosted the last of year’ exhibition, but the first time that both degree programmed have been showcased at the gallery simultaneously. Taylor Jensen Desirable Arts will host a reception for the artist on Saturday 29 Ch August from 1 to 3pm at the gallery, 33 George Street, Palmerston North. At these quilt expos the Caohagan quilts seduce comments such as The Caohagan Quilts are very exceptional indeed they are a unique expression of artistic freedom, full of love and make the purchasers very happy.
The Shoebox Resist was a highlight of the Guild year and was the source of the exhibition title. She then exhibited in the Manawatu Review in 1981, the Tokoroa Art Awards in 1982 and showed her first solo exhibition Images of Interest in the Taylor Jensen Desirable Arts Gallery, Palmerston North in 1995. Behind boarding school, she attended Elam School of Arts in Christchurch with extra art tutoring by her mother and grandmother, both accomplished artists in their own right.
