What you should know about Active Physio
The ACC funded Pain Rehabilitation contract involves a multi disciplinary team approach to tailor individual programmes to clients to improve their pain management. Through assessment the team work with the client to identify what the client wants to achieve, and from there create a plan of treatment services to achieve this outcome. The services provided include Triage, Assessments and Therapeutic input tailored to suit the individual clients need and facilitate early intervention and recovery, prevention of long term sequela of TBI and Return to daily activities including work study. The maintain employment service, known as the Stay at Work Service within the ACC structure, is based on the principle that recovery is best achieved at work.
The provider works with the client, employer and medical providers to identify and remove barriers to return to work and develop safe return to work plans which promote recovery rehabilitation of the client employee and work for the employer. The IRA is carried out to identify to identify a client’s rehabilitation needs. The assessment is carried out by a therapist who is specifically skilled or experienced in the area needing assessment. The role combines musculoskeletal and exercise rehab work working across a variety of ACC contracts. This role is a part time role at present with the potential to become full time. An Occupational Therapist role is now available in the Active Waikato team, for hours per week. You will be working within a large team of highly experienced, post graduate qualified Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Psychologists, across the Waikato Bays regions. Dependent on your skills and interests, your role will cover a wide ranging caseload of vocational rehabilitation work. Vocational rehabilitation including occupational work site assessments and planning return to work programmes for ACC clients, plus provision of gym or pool based injury rehabilitation to a wide range of clientele.
You will be working within a large team of highly experienced, post graduate qualified Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Health Nurses, Vocational Consultants and Psychologists. We are a well established, stable team that, due to growth are seeking a suitably qualified Physiotherapist to join our team of experienced self employed contractors and salaried staff delivering prevention and rehab services to insurers and private clients employers.
